Marcel Deiss Schoenenbourg Grand Cru 2017

Der verfügbare Jahrgang kann vom Bild abweichen. Known since the Middle Ages, Schoenenbourg is the winery's flagship vineyard. It has a very specific topography, facing south and located at the entrance to a valley with a steep slope. The combination of light, airy topsoil and loamy subsoil, rich in fertilisers and with good water retention, undoubtedly explains the dominant character of the terroir over the grape variety and the uniqueness of Schoenenbourg wines. Due to its proximity to the Vosges fault line, Schoenenbourg's microclimate is quite cold and late, suitable for slow, difficult ripening of the grapes and the frequent development of noble rot. A great white wine, semi-dry to sweet, suitable for ageing, with impressive concentration and mineral expression.
